Game Ready Props

Blender 3D Substance Painter Marmoset Toolbag Krita Game-Ready Props Solo Project

Overview

A personal collection of game-ready props built between 2024 and 2025 to sharpen hard surface modeling and texturing discipline. Each asset was modeled in Blender with clean low-poly topology, with all surface detail like wear, scratches, material variation, and fine geometry driven entirely by normal maps and Substance Painter material layering rather than geometry. All props are presented in Marmoset Toolbag with a neutral three-point lighting setup to read the material work clearly.

What I Learned

Creating the Game Ready Props collection helped me refine my hard-surface workflow. I focused on keeping the low-poly topology clean in Blender and driving most surface detail through normal maps and layered materials in Substance Painter rather than adding extra geometry. This kept the assets optimized while still reading as detailed in engine. The project also showed me that strong silhouette and functional design details matter more than heavy surface complexity.
